Influence

Leroux’s Le Fantôme de l’Opéra (1910) entered English pulp weird through reprints and adaptation; his Capt. Michel tales reached Weird Tales in Mildred Gleason Prochet’s translations. The Library holds The Inn of Terror (Weird Tales, August 1929), first English printing of L’Auberge épouvantable (1925). A fuller Leroux bibliography belongs later.
