The Weird Library is published by Weird Tales. The Reading Room holds works of weird fiction that have entered the United States public domain. The Card Catalog records authors and works across the field, including those we do not yet hold.

We are not the horror podcast at weirdlibrary.com. That site is a different institution. It is not published by Weird Tales, and it is not this catalog.
How a text gets on the shelf
We do a United States publication-date and renewal check. We link the Reading Room and the Card Catalog. A first publication and a first Weird Tales appearance are not always the same event; we print both when we know them. Card Catalog listings are editorial and unpaid. We do not host text we have not verified for United States public-domain status.
The living magazine
Weird Tales is still published. The Weird Library is the free public-domain reading room beside it. If you want the current magazine and the book line, get a Library Card from the house that publishes both.
